Assignment: Teapot
This project is assigned near the end of the semester. Students may either find inspiration from a teapot created by another artist (contemporary or historic), and alter this design, or they can create their own design. In either case, the design is presented for review before construction begins.
This original design teapot was inspired by the work of Sam Chung. The teapot is approx. 12” tall, fired to cone 6 in the soda kiln (2 views of the same teapot).
