SU Spring 2018 Ceramics I
This student work is the result of two assignments combined: Cup Assignment and the Teapot Assignment
Assignment: Teapot
This project is assigned near the end of the semester. Students may either find inspiration from a teapot created by another artist (contemporary or historic), and alter this design, or they can create their own design. In either case, the design is presented for review before construction begins.
This original design teapot is approx. 10” tall, and it has been fired to cone 6 in oxidation.
Assignment: Cups
Create at least 2 functional cups with at least one other complimentary form. These objects will comprise a thematic group.
These cups and the tray were fired to cone 6 in oxidation, with bamboo included after the firing.
