Assignment: Teapot
This project is assigned near the end of the semester. Students may either find inspiration from a teapot created by another artist (contemporary or historic), and alter this design, or they can create their own design. In either case, the design is presented for review before construction begins.
This student made several teapots for this assignment! This piece (several images of the same piece) was fired to cone 6 in oxidation. The student really liked to layer thick glazes, so she created a 'drip pan' for her pieces.
