Super-secret Treasure Keeper Assignment
Super-secret Treasure Keeper Assignment
2018

Super-secret-treasure-keeper assignment: project must have a secret compartment and/or consider the interior of the form as extensively as the exterior. Students are required to start with an initial design (which can change as their idea develops), and are also encouraged to work on a somewhat larger scale. This assignment is primarily a slab building assignment, but students can also utilize other building techniques. Students are also encouraged to design and utilize a pattern prior to construction.

This ‘Log’ was fired to cone 6 in a soda atmosphere (gas kiln); the smaller animals and insects were fired to cone 6 in oxidation and glued to the log after firing. This student made a giant bisque clay mold of a tree trunk located on campus.
